Job summary
The Principle Infrastructure Engineer – Telephony will be a senior authority on the NWAS telecommunications environment, responsible for the maintenance and management of existing and future telecommunications solutions. This role involves providing effective support, maintenance, and development to NWAS Telephone Systems, acting as the Subject Matter Expert for telephony, and driving continual improvement of telephony services. The engineer will also work with industry leaders to maintain systems that meet changing digital landscape needs and ensure resilience, reliability, and sustainability in telecommunications design.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience maintaining, supporting, and deploying Contact Centres
- Full driving license
- Visa conditions and validity period must allow work in the role without requiring sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Provide effective support, maintenance, and development for NWAS Telephone Systems
- Manage existing telecommunications solutions
- Manage future telecommunications developments
- Drive continual improvement of telephony services
- Serve as the ultimate escalation point for Trust telephony issues
- Provide advice and guidance to ICT Senior Management Team and other Infrastructure engineers
- Work with industry leaders to maintain telecommunications systems
- Assess business requirements and recommend solutions
- Ensure telecommunications design incorporates resilience, reliability, and sustainability
- Produce, maintain, and control comprehensive system design and configuration documentation
- Participate in national meetings regarding ambulance service telephony systems
