Job summary

Own end-to-end technology delivery of Mission Control, an AI-led development operations platform that turns study and portfolio data into real-time insight for planning, execution, and monitoring. Set its technical roadmap and lead AI applications from experimentation through production, while overseeing a bi-weekly release cadence, microservices architecture, enterprise integrations, and multi-vendor delivery. Ensure software quality, responsible AI governance, and compliance with GxP requirements in a regulated R&D environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Substantial product ownership or product management experience delivering complex data or analytics platforms in regulated environments.
  • Experience leading AI applications from concept and experimentation through production, adoption, and measurable value.
  • Practical understanding of building, validating, deploying, monitoring, and governing AI/ML and statistical models.
  • Track record of predictable, short-cycle releases at enterprise scale.
  • Working knowledge of development operations, including study start-up, site activation, patient enrolment, and study performance monitoring.
  • Experience managing multi-vendor delivery teams, including offshore and nearshore teams.
  • Strong Agile product management and full product lifecycle knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of GxP, computer system validation, and regulated-system quality requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to work in a global, matrixed environment with ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Desirable experience in pharmaceutical R&D technology, AI product development, AI governance, agentic AI, modern data platforms, microservices, or cloud-native delivery.
  • Familiarity with Aha!, JIRA, or enterprise portfolio management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Mission Control technology roadmap, backlog, and release plan from concept through production.
  • Translate business vision into technical roadmaps, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize work by business value, technical risk, dependencies, and compliance constraints.
  • Manage the bi-weekly release cadence, release scope, go/no-go decisions, and post-release reviews.
  • Lead AI applications from problem framing and experimentation through production, adoption, and value measurement.
  • Integrate AI/ML and statistical models for enrolment forecasting, site selection, risk detection, and performance prediction.
  • Partner with data science, biostatistics, and engineering teams on model interfaces, data contracts, validation, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Run time-boxed innovation experiments and assess agentic AI and workflow automation opportunities.
  • Evolve the modular microservices architecture and manage technical debt and enterprise dependencies.
  • Manage delivery partners and monitor scope, throughput, quality, timelines, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure GxP, computer system validation, quality, audit, and responsible AI requirements are met.
  • Maintain the Definition of Done, technical acceptance gates, release records, and validation artefacts.
  • Improve automated testing, CI/CD, and release reliability with QA and DevOps teams.
