Job summary

The Projects and Infrastructure Engineer delivers technical projects as their technical lead, provides third-line service desk support, and supports presales opportunities. The role also includes coaching service desk colleagues, managing escalations, and contributing to continuous improvement. Technical work covers Microsoft Azure migrations, deployments and service management; Microsoft 365 endpoint management and security; and networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, port forwarding and NAT.

• At least three years of experience progressing through a service desk
• Experience migrating, deploying and managing Microsoft Azure services
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, modern endpoint management and security
• Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, port forwarding and NAT
• Ability to communicate with management and senior leaders
• Microsoft certifications such as MS-100/101, AZ-104 or MS-500 are desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical projects to a high standard and on schedule
• Act as technical lead and project owner alongside the Project Manager
• Provide third-line service desk support and assist with second-line escalations
• Lead and manage escalations
• Coach first- and second-line service desk colleagues
• Support commercial presales requests in line with agreed OLAs
• Share project feedback and new technology insights at monthly review sessions
• Lead and support internal improvement initiatives
