Job summary
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center is seeking a Research Engineer for the AI Factory initiative, focusing on the development and operation of data platforms and tooling to support AI adoption across various sectors.
Qualifications
- Experience administering Linux systems in production environments
- Experience with containerization and orchestration
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience deploying web applications and services
- Experience implementing security controls
- Good fluency in English
- Strong scripting and programming skills
- Good knowledge of networking and system security fundamentals
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Rigorous and organized with attention to documentation
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and operate internal data platforms and tooling
- Develop, deploy, and operate TRE platforms and supporting infrastructure
- Implement security controls across data services environments
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring
- Integrate platforms with BSC institutional systems
- Support secure data workflows
- Provide technical support to researchers and users
- Document architectures and best practices
