Job summary
The Senior OR Level II Research Laboratory Infrastructure Engineer provides essential technology services and support to research faculty and laboratories, ensuring the reliability and performance of laboratory computing infrastructure. Responsibilities include overseeing IT infrastructure management, implementing disaster recovery, and collaborating with teams to design and maintain solutions across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, while leveraging expertise in systems administration and information security.
Qualifications
- Four (4) years of IT experience in infrastructure operations
- Experience with biomedical research and high-performance computing preferred
- System administration experience across Windows, macOS, and Linux preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee configuration and management of the IT infrastructure
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of infrastructure service delivery
- Lead and manage internal infrastructure through established regulations
- Implement and monitor incident/problem & disaster recovery
- Manage and provide current systems usage statistics
- Partner with internal teams for capacity planning and infrastructure availability
- Present capacity planning and performance reports to senior leaders
- Benchmark and analyze IT infrastructure for improvement
