Job summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Release Engineer to manage and optimize release processes, ensuring smooth deployments and maintaining high-quality standards within a Salesforce environment. This role involves planning, scheduling, coordination, and management of software releases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless deployment of software products and updates while maintaining a continuous delivery pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in release management or a similar role
  • Knowledge of Salesforce release lifecycle and DevOps best practices
  • Experience managing releases in an Agile environment
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency with Copado (Pipelines, User Stories, Back Promotions, Compliance Hub)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Copado, Salesforce DX, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI)
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence
  • Familiarity with code quality tools (CodeScan, PMD)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Copado Certifications (Fundamentals I/II, Developer, Administrator) preferred
  • Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Administrator) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain integrity and quality of software releases
  • Manage and monitor CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments
  • Debug and troubleshoot release-related issues
  • Document and improve release processes and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to release schedules and deliverables
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks associated with software releases
  • Communicate release status and updates to stakeholders
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and ensure all release requirements are met
