Job summary

Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg GmbH is seeking a SAP Utilities DevOps Engineer to actively shape the development of their SAP IS-U landscape. This role involves implementing technical requirements with ABAP/ABAP OO, optimizing interfaces, and ensuring stable systems while driving innovation within the energy industry's core processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to the energy transition by working in agile development and operations models.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, or an IT vocational training with several years of relevant practical experience.
• Several years of experience in SAP development, ideally in the SAP IS-U environment of the energy industry.
• Enjoy agile collaboration, short feedback cycles, and continuous improvement.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working, even with complex technical requirements.
• Willingness to take responsibility in a DevOps context and to holistically support applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as high service and customer orientation.
• Ideally, knowledge of SAP Fiori / UI5 and modern SAP architectures and integration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical requirements using ABAP / ABAP OO and continuously develop existing solutions in the SAP IS-U environment.
• Apply expertise in energy industry core processes such as billing, market communication, EDM, and device management.
• Critically analyze existing developments, prepare them for the target architecture, and actively support migrations, tests, and technical adjustments.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize interfaces (IDoc, RFC, Webservices, REST APIs) to ensure stability and further development of market processes.
• Technically implement regulatory requirements and ensure sustainable integration into the system landscape.
• Continuously develop the system landscape in close cooperation with departments, service providers, and platform partners.
• Work in agile development and operations models and actively contribute to a DevOps-oriented approach, from development to testing and stable operation.
