SDLC Platform Engineer (Atlassian and AWS)

Job summary

Operate the Atlassian Data Center and AWS platforms used by DoD health IT development teams, while preparing for Atlassian Data Center end of life. The work includes administering and patching Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, managing the AWS platform layer, resolving platform authorization conditions, and planning and testing a successor platform. The position supports a Defense Health Agency program and is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• At least five years administering Atlassian Data Center or Server products.
• Hands-on AWS operations experience.
• Linux administration experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain the background investigation designated by the Defense Health Agency.
• Hold the applicable DoD 8140 qualification before privileged access, or be able to earn it within six months.
• Atlassian certification preferred.
• Experience migrating Atlassian to Cloud or another platform preferred.
• Active Secret clearance or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and patch the Atlassian Data Center platform, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Operate the AWS platform supporting development tools.
• Resolve authorization conditions on the platform.
• Plan and test a successor path before Atlassian Data Center end of life.
