Job summary

As a Search Platform Engineer Senior at Würth IT, you will be responsible for the architecture and strategic development of the Würth search platform on AWS, defining standards for performance and reliability. You will work on complex features and optimize data pipelines while ensuring the scalability and monitoring of Elastic or OpenSearch clusters.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable education with relevant professional experience
• Deep understanding of backend architectures and distributed systems, with practical experience in development using Java and/or C#
• Extensive practical experience with Elastic or OpenSearch, particularly in schema design, queries, scaling, and operations
• Solid knowledge of AWS and experience in building robust data pipelines, ideally with Spark or Databricks
• Fluent in German and English, able to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Architect the Würth search platform on AWS and develop it strategically
• Define standards for performance, reliability, observability, and service level agreements
• Design and optimize indexing and data pipelines with Databricks, developing schemas, mappings, and query strategies
• Work hands-on on complex features, prototypes, and central architectural components
• Ensure scalability, monitoring, and cost optimization of Elastic or OpenSearch clusters across international domains and applications
