Security and Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Ada is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer to oversee cloud and platform security, focusing on architecture, detection and response, and platform enablement across AWS and Azure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or security engineering roles
• Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS
• Strong experience designing and securing cloud IAM, networking, secrets management, and distributed systems
• Extensive experience with infrastructure as code and policy as code
• Experience building or operating detection and response systems
• Proven ability to translate compliance and risk requirements into technical implementations
• Strong communicator who can influence architecture and engineering decisions

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and operate security technologies across cloud, network, identity, endpoint, and application layers
• Define cloud security reference architectures, threat models, and guardrails
• Own the technical lifecycle of security tooling
• Build safety guardrails into the platform
• Set the security bar inside Product Development
• Stand up security observability
• Engineer automated response and remediation workflows
• Lead cloud security incident investigations
• Turn recurring security and infra requests into self-serve tooling
• Translate security and regulatory frameworks into enforceable technical controls
• Support audits, risk assessments, and evidence collection
