Security Automation Engineer

Job summary

Zayo is seeking a skilled Security Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise security automation platforms, focusing on improving operational efficiency and security response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security automation or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Tines or enterprise SOAR platforms.
• Experience designing and supporting security automation solutions.
• Strong experience in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API integrations across security tools and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of Security Operations, SOAR, Vulnerability Management, and IAM.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise security automation solutions.
• Architect scalable automation workflows utilizing SOAR platforms and APIs.
• Lead evaluations and implementation of new automation platforms.

• Monitor automation platform health and performance.
• Participate in production support for security automation services.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and operational procedures.
• Establish metrics and KPIs for cybersecurity program effectiveness.
• Ensure automation solutions align with security policies and standards.
• Develop technical documentation and operational standards.
• Evaluate emerging automation technologies and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Lead technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve service delivery.
