Security Data and Platform Engineer

Job summary

As a Security Data and Platform Engineer, you will leverage security engineering expertise and knowledge of security data pipelines to enhance security telemetry across various environments and contribute to the Elastic Security platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Elastic Stack and data engineering technologies
• Expertise in Elastic data modelling, indexing and performance optimisation
• Experience designing scalable log collection and processing architectures
• Knowledge of data governance, retention and security telemetry
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP or hybrid environments

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority and SME for security data within Elastic Security ecosystem
• Design, implement and maintain scalable security data ingestion pipelines into Elastic SIEM
• Own onboarding, tuning, normalisation and stabilisation of security data feeds across cloud, endpoint, network and SaaS sources
• Define and improve data quality standards for detection, investigation and threat hunting
• Contribute to operation, performance and evolution of Elastic Security platform
• Apply software engineering and scripting skills to automate workflows
• Support configuration as code and infrastructure as code for consistency and scalability
• Drive development of security data strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements
