Job summary

The Security Platform Engineer (Security Visibility) is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and monitoring security technologies to support Sun Life’s security policies. The role involves managing SIEM systems, analyzing information systems, and collaborating with various teams to enhance security measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years Information security and engineering experience
• Proven experience with Infrastructure Visibility technologies
• Broad exposure to multiple security disciplines
• Knowledge of security controls and risk management frameworks
• Experience in deploying enterprise level technology via managed projects

Responsibilities

• Support and manage the SIEM (Splunk Enterprise Security)
• Lead security initiatives and enterprise level projects
• Support and maintain new and existing security technologies
• Provide SME during Audit
• Participate in teams 24x7 on-call support
• Identify risks and recommend strategies
• Collaborate with security peers and vendors
• Document and maintain cyber security playbooks
• Continuously improve operational and security processes
