Senior 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer at Leidos will provide complex fault rectification, support Problem Management, and conduct maintenance on IT systems. The role requires advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to develop technical solutions while ensuring adherence to service level agreements.

Qualifications

• knowledge of Virtualized Environments such as VMware and Hyper-V
• knowledge of VDI environments such as VMware Horizon or Citrix
• knowledge of HCI such as NetApp SolidFire or Nutanix
• knowledge of SAN storage technologies such as NetApp or Dell PowerStore
• knowledge of Backup & Recovery technologies such as Veeam or Commvault
• knowledge of Windows Server Environments from Server 2008 to 2025
• experience supporting Enterprise IT hardware in datacentre environments
• strong Linux system administration skills
• knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies
• knowledge of software defined network such as VMWare NSX-T or HPE Aruba
• knowledge of Microsoft stack technologies
• knowledge of cloud-native application platforms and Kubernetes
• experience with MicroServices architecture platforms and Docker
• knowledge of 2 Factor-Authentication technologies
• experience with scripting
• experience producing and updating technical documentation
• excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
• excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• conduct complex fault rectification of incidents

• respond to escalations from 2nd Line Engineers
• conduct advanced troubleshooting
• develop technical solutions to complex issues
• liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• adhere to SLA levels

• assist in configuration and deployment of infrastructure components
• engage in infrastructure-related projects
