Proxima Fusion is seeking a Senior Agent Platform Engineer to take technical ownership of their AI agent platform, ensuring reliable operation and integration for physicists and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Depth in Python and distributed backend systems
• Experience with production-grade agentic or LLM systems
• Knowledge of the current agent ecosystem
• Experience running production workloads on Kubernetes and cloud
• Focus on evaluation and observability as platform features
• Security as a design constraint
• Platform and internal product thinking
• Effective communication with expert users

Responsibilities

• Own the platform architecture, technical delivery, and day-to-day operation
• Scale the platform into reliable, governed infrastructure
• Enable agents to work across knowledge bases and support engineering workflows
• Influence and shape the platform roadmap
• Propose new platform features based on user feedback
• Build a trusted platform for production-level work
• Design and operate the agent platform
• Stabilize the agent ecosystem into platform building blocks
• Co-design the integration layer for agents
• Ensure autonomy is safe and governable
• Build evaluation and observability for non-deterministic systems
• Operate on Google Cloud with production discipline
