Job summary

The Senior AI Platform Engineer role is dedicated to designing, building, and operating platforms that enhance software development through advanced AI capabilities. Key responsibilities include maintaining expert knowledge, leading complex technical initiatives, and ensuring the reliability and security of platforms on AWS, utilizing technologies such as TypeScript, Python, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 7 years of IT experience
• 2 years of proven experience leading complex technical initiatives
• Strong software engineering experience using TypeScript, Python or another modern programming language
• Hands-on experience designing and operating production services on AWS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools
• Cloud-native foundations: containers and Kubernetes
• Experience building platforms, internal developer tools, shared services or reusable technical capabilities

Responsibilities

• Maintains expert knowledge in one or more specialisms
• Monitors emerging technologies
• Takes end-to-end ownership of epics and initiatives within the platform
• Designs, codes, tests, documents, and refactors complex software
• Proposes, owns, and implements technical improvements
• Builds and operates the platform reliably
• Leads code reviews for peers
• Coordinates the day-to-day delivery of complex, multi-faceted work
