Job summary
Build and own the platform for an AI financial controller agent that works across accounting software, bank data, email, and other business systems. The role covers reliable long-running agent workflows, scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud, protection of sensitive financial data, and observability, CI/CD, and developer tooling. The platform must support parallel agents across customers while enabling product engineers to ship safely.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial production backend, infrastructure, or platform work.
- Experience designing, operating, and supporting scalable systems, including on-call responsibility.
- Experience protecting sensitive data in production.
- Strong Python skills and cloud fundamentals; Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure experience.
- Experience building with LLMs or strong interest in production agent engineering.
- Experience working in a small, high-ownership team and making architecture decisions independently.
- Regular use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the agent harness for planning, tool use, memory, and failure recovery.
- Scale platform performance, cost, queueing, and concurrency across customers and parallel agents.
- Manage Google Cloud deployments, infrastructure as code, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Lead tenant isolation, credential management, access control, audit logging, and data protection.
- Build tracing, logging, and metrics to explain agent behavior.
- Improve tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience so product engineers can ship safely.
- Use AI coding tools and help improve their use across the team.
