Job summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer owns the architecture, roadmap, and operational health of production AWS environments supporting client-facing systems and sensitive client information. The role builds governed multi-account AWS foundations, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and secure AI-agent operations, while improving networking, observability, incident response, recovery, security, reliability, and cloud cost.

• Experience designing, operating, and improving production AWS environments, including multi-account architecture and governance
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills, including reusable modules, state and drift management, and safe deployments
• Technical depth in IAM, networking, encryption, and secrets management
• Experience with observability, incident response, recovery testing, and cloud security
• Strong CI/CD, scripting, and automation skills, including testing, policy controls, approvals, and rollback
• Hands-on experience with AI agents or agentic engineering and understanding of data leakage and unsafe tool-use risks
• Track record of measurable gains in reliability, efficiency, security, or cloud cost
• A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Own AWS architecture, technical roadmap, and continuous improvement
• Build and operate scalable, multi-account AWS foundations using infrastructure as code
• Design and troubleshoot networking, DNS, certificates, and connectivity across AWS and firm platforms
• Build agent-assisted security monitoring and conduct authorised testing for prompt injection and unsafe tool use
• Improve observability, incident response, and recovery; convert recurring issues into tested automation
• Create secure AI-agent environments with controls for data, tools, network access, resources, and audit trails
• Build CI/CD and self-service pathways for safe, efficient delivery
• Reduce manual effort and cloud costs, and demonstrate savings
