Job summary

ABN AMRO is seeking a Senior Azure Data & DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data platforms and pipelines for Market Abuse Monitoring processes.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and data integration solutions.
• Experience developing data processing solutions using Python and PySpark.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience designing and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data streaming, transformation, and monitoring processes.
• Solid experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience driving standardisation across teams.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or ARM templates.
• Knowledge of Azure security and networking concepts.
• Experience with Azure services like App Services and Key Vault.
• Experience with authentication and SSO solutions.
• Experience in financial services or risk domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and optimise data processing workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Python, and PySpark.
• Support ongoing development and enhancement of data streams for Market Abuse Monitoring.
• Drive standardisation of Azure DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Improve CI/CD processes for applications and data platforms.
• Design and implement integrations between applications and cloud-based data platforms.
• Define technical standards and best practices for Azure engineering.
• Coach colleagues in adopting DataOps, DevOps, and cloud engineering principles.
• Identify and drive implementation of improvement opportunities.
