Job summary

This senior Azure DevOps Engineer will build, operate, and evolve a GenAI platform on Azure, supporting reliable applications across development, test, and production environments. The role configures cloud and Kubernetes resources as code using Terraform, Helm, and GitLab; automates GenAI and LLMOps delivery; and implements monitoring with Grafana and Azure Monitor. It also develops Java, Python, XML, and C# solutions for authorization, logging, routing, and guardrail validation.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer focused on GenAI; banking experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps toolchains, especially Git, GitLab, Docker, and Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including API Management, AKS, Azure Functions, OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence, Azure Foundry, and Storage Accounts.
• Experience with DevOps monitoring, logging, and alerting, particularly Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken German and English.
• GenAI project experience, ideally with RAG, Agentic AI, and GenAI solution optimization.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization using Azure Entra ID, RBAC, and OAuth.
• Software development knowledge in Python and/or Java.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Azure cloud resources and Kubernetes applications as infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm charts, and GitLab.
• Automate build, test, and release processes for GenAI applications and LLMOps across development, test, and production environments.
• Develop technical concepts for new GenAI platform requirements and contribute to platform evolution and optimization.
• Implement monitoring and alerting with tools such as Grafana and Azure dashboards.
• Support client applications with design questions, onboarding, integrations, and operational issues.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and logs to identify and resolve issues early.
• Develop and maintain code-based authorization checks, logging, monitoring, routing, and guardrail validations using Java, Python, XML, and C# APIM policies.
