(Senior) Backend & Cloud Engineer - Scaleway (m/w/d)

Job summary

The role focuses on developing robust backend systems using PHP and Laravel while ensuring stable operations on Scaleway infrastructure. Key responsibilities include migrating legacy systems to a modular architecture, managing containerized applications, automating processes with Terraform/OpenTofu, and maintaining compliance with ISO-27001 standards through effective monitoring and security practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing productive applications with PHP and Laravel
• Ability to write understandable, maintainable, and tested code using Clean Code and SOLID principles
• Experience with Docker/OCI containers and operating containerized applications on Linux-based cloud instances
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and practical implementation of automated deployments and migrations
• Experience with monitoring, centralized logging, and alerting, with the ability to analyze production issues across technical layers

Responsibilities

• Develop the platform using PHP and Laravel, migrating legacy systems to a modular architecture
• Manage Laravel containers and Scaleway infrastructure from Load Balancer to Managed PostgreSQL and Redis
• Automate infrastructure management with Terraform/OpenTofu and streamline build, test, and deployment processes
• Ensure reliable and secure operations compliant with ISO-27001 through monitoring, logging, and security management
• Guide solutions from code to production and collaborate on architectural decisions with the Product-Engineering team
