Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Crown Resorts is seeking a Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and evolve their enterprise cloud platforms. This role involves providing architectural leadership across Azure and hybrid cloud environments, driving automation, and ensuring secure and scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure environments, with strong cloud architecture capability.
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking, identity and access management, security controls, governance frameworks and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates, alongside modern DevOps practices and deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python and/or Bash, with experience driving operational efficiencies through automation.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Azure Container Apps within enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers and deliver complex cloud solutions, with Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise cloud solutions across Azure and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring scalability, resilience and security.
• Define and maintain cloud architecture standards, engineering patterns, governance frameworks and best practices across cloud platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Cloud Engineers, conducting design reviews and guiding complex technical decision-making.
• Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates, improving deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure services including networking, identity, compute, storage, containers and platform services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Partner with Development, Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams to implement secure cloud solutions, optimise cloud consumption and support application deployment across the organisation.
