Job summary
Own the architecture and technical direction of infrastructure for a financial reconciliation platform processing high-volume transactions. Set standards and make decisions about scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability while mentoring senior infrastructure engineers and building critical components. The hands-on role uses AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, Spark, and MSSQL.

Qualifications
- 5+ years designing and owning large-scale distributed infrastructure
- Track record of independently owning architecture decisions
- 3+ years as a technical lead mentoring engineers
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Expertise in Linux and Windows server environments
- Experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure
- Proficiency with Terraform and ArgoCD, and scripting with Bash and Python
- Experience with data infrastructure and processing technologies such as Spark and MSSQL
- Experience building infrastructure for high-volume transactional workloads; finance experience preferred
- Track record of building scalable, available, and secure infrastructure
- Experience using Agile practices to ship reliably
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure architecture and design for the reconciliation platform
- Drive platform scalability and performance decisions
- Set infrastructure standards and patterns for quality and maintainability
- Mentor senior infrastructure engineers through design reviews and problem-solving
- Prototype and build critical-path infrastructure components
- Make accountable tradeoff decisions involving long-term cost, scalability, security, and maintainability
