Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (all genders)

Job summary

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will take responsibility for cloud projects for clients in the public sector, guiding initiatives from initial requirements through migration and automation to stable operation.

Qualifications

• IT-oriented education, degree, or comparable practical experience
• Several years of experience in building and operating cloud infrastructures
• Practical experience with Kubernetes or similar container platforms
• Knowledge in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
• Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Stackit, IONOS Cloud, OpenShift, or OpenStack
• Good understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud environments
• Experience in technical consulting for clients or internal stakeholders
• Willingness to undergo project-dependent security checks and work in regulated environments
• Very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form
• Relevant certifications in cloud and Kubernetes (e.g., CKAD, CKA, or CKS) are a plus or willingness to acquire them

Responsibilities

• Guide cloud projects from initial customer requirements to stable operation in the cloud
• Analyze existing IT landscapes and develop future-proof cloud solutions
• Design, automate, and operate scalable cloud infrastructures
• Advise clients, project managers, and development teams on cloud architectures and DevOps best practices
• Ensure secure operations through monitoring, logging, and security compliance measures
• Drive continuous improvement of platforms, processes, and automation
