Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer role is centered on leading the design, automation, and optimization of secure, scalable cloud platforms within the SCATS team, which oversees a leading intelligent traffic management system. Responsibilities include building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, managing CI/CD pipelines, and promoting DevSecOps practices to enhance platform performance and security.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), DevOps practices, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders in complex organisations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and build automation tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and application security frameworks.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, automation, and optimisation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders for cloud-native solutions.
• Manage and influence stakeholders across a complex matrix environment.
• Champion automation, observability, and DevSecOps practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for cloud environments.
