Job summary
The Senior Cloud Engineer owns and builds AWS infrastructure and infrastructure as code for healthcare systems handling sensitive data. The role includes architecting reliable, secure, performant environments; shaping technical decisions; and using AI tools with production safeguards and appropriate human oversight.

Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience administering AWS environments.
- Strong experience defining and managing infrastructure as code.
- Comfort using AI in daily work while maintaining human judgment and engineering rigor.
- Track record of shipping production-safe software and infrastructure.
- Ability to make decisions and build processes in an early-stage environment.
- Preferred experience in healthcare, health technology, or another setting with sensitive data and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Architect, administer, and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure with attention to reliability, security, and performance.
- Define and maintain repeatable, reviewable infrastructure as code.
- Use AI tools while maintaining production safety, system integrity, and human-readable engineering practices.
- Help establish guardrails and assurances for greater AI autonomy.
- Shape architecture and tooling decisions.
- Partner with senior engineers and technical leaders on systems handling sensitive healthcare data.
