Job summary
The Senior Cloud Engineer designs and operates reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure for a SaaS platform supporting charitable grant-making, investment management, and reporting. The role includes Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, container operations, observability, incident response, and disaster recovery, as well as collaboration on YugabyteDB administration and performance. The engineer also supports security and compliance requirements for financial applications.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of cloud engineering or DevOps experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools and scripting languages.
- Database administration knowledge and experience with distributed databases.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security groups, VPCs, load balancers, and DNS.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using observability tools.
- Strong Linux administration and containerization experience.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
- Financial services or regulated-industry experience, cloud certifications, and chaos engineering knowledge are advantages.
- Spring Boot or Angular deployment and optimization experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using ECS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Monitor performance, availability, and security across environments.
- Support YugabyteDB operations, performance tuning, and disaster recovery with DBA teams.
- Automate operational tasks and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Establish SLAs and SLOs; participate in on-call rotation, incident response, and post-mortem analysis.
- Maintain financial regulatory compliance and security best practices.
- Mentor team members.
