Job summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, management, security, and maintenance of cloud environments, implementing automation, monitoring systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional certifications (Azure Administrator, MCSE, MCSA, Security+, CCNA).
• 5 years of IT experience supporting enterprise applications.
• 3-5 years in a Cloud Engineer role.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows Server.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Database experience, including SQL knowledge.
• Experience in VOIP.
• Experience in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
• Demonstrated Azure deployment experience.
• Security first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, implement, and deliver scalable, secure cloud and network solutions.
• Identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions.
• Manage technical and business functional requirements for cloud platforms.
• Develop and execute migration plans to deploy Azure infrastructures.
• Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot network equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
• Optimize security center configurations.
• Conduct security monitoring and incident resolution.
• Perform audits and reviews as needed.
• Administer backend software systems.
• Communicate status updates and gather requirements.
• Deploy and debug cloud initiatives.
• Monitor system performance and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Identify optimization opportunities and implement strategies.
• Configure IAM roles, encryption, and network security.
• Propose new technologies to enhance infrastructure.
