Job summary

DKV Mobility is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate modern cloud services. The role involves working with various cloud technologies, integrating new systems, and ensuring stable and scalable operations. The ideal candidate will also support development teams and optimize existing solutions.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Possess solid professional experience in cloud engineering, especially with Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Ideally have relevant certifications in cloud technologies or cloud architecture.
• Communicate clearly, proactively, and with strong structure in technical discussions and cross-team collaboration.
• Explain complex technical topics in an understandable way, promote active knowledge sharing, and support others with an open and cooperative mindset.
• Have very good English skills; German is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate modern cloud services based on container, PaaS, and SaaS technologies.
• Work daily with Azure Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Kafka, the Grafana stack, Instana, ArgoCD, and cloud-native Postgres databases.
• Integrate new technologies into the DKV cloud environment and ensure seamless functional operation.
• Develop additional software and integration components using agile methods and create clear technical requirements.
• Ensure stable, scalable, and secure operation of cloud infrastructure, including monitoring and recovery in case of failures.
• Support and train development teams, optimize existing solutions, and continuously evaluate new technologies.
