Job summary
Invu Technology is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for a long-term contract with a leading FinTech company. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting scalable, secure, and high-performing AWS cloud environments, Kubernetes, and modern big data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a significant impact on a high-profile project in the banking and financial services industry.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies in production environments.
- 3+ years of experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies supporting data ingestion, processing, and streaming workloads.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including strong Terraform expertise.
- 3+ years of experience implementing cloud security best practices, including IAM, role-based access controls, encryption, key management, secrets management, and VPC/network security.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
- Strong understanding of highly available, resilient, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud architectures.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting distributed systems in production environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated environments is a plus.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure within AWS.
- Build and manage cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services including EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate provisioning and environment management.
- Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications using Kubernetes and cloud-native orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions.
- Support data ingestion, processing, and streaming workloads using platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, key management, secrets management, and network security controls.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation initiatives.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical guidance on cloud engineering best practices.
