Job summary
This platform engineering role develops and operates the Kubernetes platform supporting customer engagement and AI products, including EKS clusters managed through GitOps and migration of EC2 workloads. The engineer improves deployment workflows and self-service tools, manages AWS infrastructure with Terraform, strengthens platform observability, security, and cost controls, and mentors developers. The stack includes Kubernetes, FluxCD, GitHub Actions, Karpenter, and Grafana Cloud.

Qualifications
- Production experience running Kubernetes and Docker workloads, including cluster upgrades, autoscaling, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience deploying to Kubernetes with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- At least five years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps, with deep AWS experience including EKS, EC2, IAM, and VPC networking.
- Strong Terraform and Linux skills, with knowledge of observability, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- Strong communication skills and experience mentoring engineers through changes to tools or working practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve EKS clusters and the GitOps platform, including upgrades, security, and autoscaling.
- Improve Kubernetes deployment workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and developer self-service templates.
- Migrate the core Laravel application from EC2 to Kubernetes while maintaining the existing EC2 fleet.
- Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform and improve observability, alerting, security, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor engineers, pair on platform changes, write documentation, and help define engineering standards.
