Senior Cloud Engineer

Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to manage and secure mission-critical infrastructure in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance w/Polygraph required
• Must be a US Citizen
• In-depth understanding of technical principles and their application
• Experience designing or operating within AWS GovCloud (US) regions
• Experience with AWS Core services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience in OS and Scripting with Python
• Understanding of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG) and NIST frameworks

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy secure AWS solutions for unclassified and classified environments
• Ensure hybrid connectivity and secure data replication between networks/enclaves
• Provision and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Implement security controls to align with DoD RMF and NIST guidelines
• Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) and secure key management using AWS KMS
• Audit classified cloud environments for compliance with encryption standards
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Monitor cloud system performance and resolve infrastructure issues
• Troubleshoot complex cloud stacks and perform root-cause analysis
