Job summary

The Defense Sector at Lei*** is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support various Air Force programs by deploying and maintaining hybrid cloud infrastructures in Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years.
• DoD 8140 Intermediate certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Intermediate Azure Certifications such as AZ-104.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in public cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident management.
• Understanding of networking concepts.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and best practices.
• Interest in continuous learning in cybersecurity and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage virtual cloud infrastructures in Microsoft Azure.
• Automate deployments and configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Provision, maintain, and scale cloud resources in collaboration with teams.
• Monitor cloud resource utilization for cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure infrastructure meets security and compliance standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation into development.
• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Configure and maintain monitoring tools for system availability.
• Identify and implement optimizations for efficiency and uptime.
• Apply security best practices to protect cloud infrastructures.
• Assist in audits and compliance initiatives.
• Provide Tier-2/3 support for escalated issues.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting steps.
