Job summary

Seeking a (Senior) Cloud Engineer / Linux Specialist for critical infrastructure in Bonn. This role involves designing, building, and operating private cloud infrastructures with high security levels, ensuring system availability, and automating tasks.

Qualifications

• Completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist) or a degree in computer science, or comparable professional experience.
• Professional experience with secure virtualized infrastructures and common virtualization solutions.
• Good knowledge of cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and OpenStack.
• Practical experience in providing and operating Linux systems.
• Proven application of automation and IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience in regulated environments and with relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI C5) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, build, and operate private cloud infrastructures with high security levels.
• Secure the technology stack through security measures and hardening.
• Monitor services to ensure agreed system availability and proactive error resolution.
• Create and implement best-practice guidelines.
• Provide and adapt environments for testing and integrating new or updated products and technologies.
• Automate all tasks using orchestration and configuration tools.
• Ensure stable and uninterrupted system operation.
