Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

Job summary

Design and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, specializing in networking, security, DevOps, or monitoring. Responsibilities include building landing zones, automating infrastructure with Terraform or OpenTofu and CI/CD, operating Kubernetes and Docker platforms, implementing IAM and zero-trust security, optimizing costs, and leading incident response and complex troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• At least four years of cloud infrastructure experience, specializing in networking, security, DevOps, or monitoring
• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP and landing zones
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform or OpenTofu and CI/CD
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, IAM, zero-trust security, and network configuration
• Experience with cost optimization and incident management
• German proficiency at C1 level; technical discussions may be in English
• Computer science or IT degree, or equivalent practical experience
• Professional-level cloud certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Build and evolve landing zones
• Own infrastructure-as-code and automation using Terraform or OpenTofu and CI/CD
• Operate platforms using Kubernetes and Docker
• Implement cloud security, including IAM and zero-trust practices
• Configure networks and optimize cloud costs
• Manage incidents, lead incident response, and troubleshoot complex issues
• Make design decisions and maintain production stability
