Senior Cloud Engineer

Job summary

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and automation solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Data Engineer, Backend Engineer, or similar role
• Proven experience architecting and maintaining complex data pipelines
• Proven experience building event-driven and streaming data integrations at scale
• Expert knowledge of cloud data services across Azure or AWS ecosystems
• Production experience deploying and managing containerized services in Kubernetes
• Strong expertise with SQL and NoSQL systems
• Knowledge of data governance processes and tools
• Experience with infrastructure as code and platform engineering practices
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD workflows
• Strong understanding of access control frameworks and security governance
• Good programming skills in Python

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the implementation of complex data automation solutions
• Design and build end-to-end transformation pipelines
• Own the design of the data platform architecture
• Establish and enforce data engineering best practices
• Build scalable backend data services and APIs
• Lead the integration of data sources from operational systems
• Partner closely with product teams and stakeholders
• Drive technical excellence by establishing architectural standards
• Evaluate and recommend data technologies and tools
