Senior Cloud Engineer

Job summary

Design, maintain, and optimize cloud environments using AWS services and Terraform. Support Docker-based workloads, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and manage secrets with HashiCorp Vault. Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Expertise with AWS production-level experience across core services (RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, networking).
• Proficiency with Terraform, including module creation, state management, and complex multi-environment setups.
• Experience with Docker and container lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, runners, and deployment patterns.
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets and policy management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

• Architect, maintain, and optimize cloud environments using AWS services such as RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Build, maintain, and improve Terraform modules; enforce Infrastructure as Code best practices; manage multi-environment deployments.
• Support and enhance Docker-based workloads and ECS deployments.
• Contribute to GitLab CI pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Manage and improve secret storage and access patterns using HashiCorp Vault.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling, ideally in Python.
• Work closely with developers and product teams to support delivery and improve operational excellence.
