Job summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer role involves building, operating, and enhancing modern platforms in Kubernetes, Linux, and AI infrastructure within a managed service provider (MSP) environment. Key responsibilities include developing standardized platforms for container and AI applications, automating infrastructure processes using GitOps and scripting, and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure seamless service delivery across multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as Platform Engineer, System Engineer, or similar role
• Experience in building and operating platforms in MSP or enterprise environments
• Strong Linux knowledge and experience with container and platform technologies
• Familiarity with Nutanix, VMware, Azure, Docker, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, monitoring, and automation
• Experience in planning, standardizing, and operating technical platforms across multiple clients
• Interest or experience in AI infrastructure, GPU workloads, or modern platform architectures
• Excellent communication skills in German and English

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and enhance modern platform environments in MSP context
• Develop and standardize platforms for container, Linux workloads, and AI applications
• Plan, build, and operate Kubernetes platforms in hybrid environments
• Collaborate on platforms based on Nutanix, VMware, Linux, and Azure
• Develop technical standards, blueprints, and operational models
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes with Infrastructure as Code
• Analyze and resolve complex issues and performance topics
• Ensure smooth transition of new platforms and services into operation
• Contribute to multi-tenant, security, and standardization concepts in MSP operations
• Provide technical support for projects from conception to handover
