Senior Cloud Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Operations Engineer will manage the reliability of critical infrastructure and application platforms, improve site availability, and support application teams. The role requires a combination of DevOps, Systems Administration, and Cloud Engineering skills to enhance system performance and implement monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in a modern technology stack
• Knowledge of software design patterns and infrastructure architecture
• Understanding of software release processes and CI/CD
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Development experience in languages such as Java, Python, and Go
• Hands-on experience as a Pega Administrator in cloud environments
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting for Pega BPM infrastructure
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
• Experience with Pega system administration tasks
• Knowledge of networking concepts like DNS and TCP/IP
• Understanding of cloud security practices
• Familiarity with CIAD tools like JIRA and GitHub
• Experience with databases like MongoDB and caching systems like REDIS
• Familiarity with ArgoCD and service mesh technologies

Responsibilities

• Manage reliability of critical infrastructure and application platforms
• Improve and maintain site availability and system performance
• Investigate system errors and perform bottleneck analysis
• Provide solutions for performance management and disaster recovery
• Participate in solution design and planning sessions
• Build and operate highly available and scalable software and infrastructure
• Support application teams with design patterns and best practices
• Own day-to-day operations including incident and change management
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks and monitoring standards
