Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Location: Vancouver, BC Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable. Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will lead cloud engineering initiatives and support enterprise transformation programs. Responsibilities Lead cloud engineering initiatives across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments. Support cloud modernization initiatives for core banking, payments, citizen services, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, and telecom customer platforms. Build and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting telecom network operations, 5G platforms, and edge computing environments. Provide technical leadership for enterprise cloud transformation programs. Collaborate with business and technology teams supporting banking, government, and telecom operations. Implement cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational controls. Mentor junior engineers and support cloud engineering best practices. Drive automation, monitoring, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives. Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost management. Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory, privacy, and security requirements. Required Qualifications Experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments is required. Experience supporting cloud platforms for banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS, billing, charging, or telecom customer platforms. Experience leading cloud transformation and modernization initiatives. Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Understanding of governance, compliance, regulatory, and security requirements. Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills. Cloud certification preferred.
