Senior Cloud Engineer (Voice Network)

Job summary

Spr*** is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot SIP signaling and RTP media flows for their global communications platform.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Networking or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, Routing & Switching, and traffic engineering.
• Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, VPN technologies, and enterprise connectivity.
• Experience with SIP, SDP, RTP, RTCP, SIP Trunk, SBC, WebRTC, and VoIP troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure networking services.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud networking and traffic management.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs and firewalls.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
• Experience with CPaaS, CCaaS, UCaaS, and contact center technologies is desirable.
• Demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot SIP signaling and RTP media flows.
• Manage carrier interconnections, SIP trunks, telecom routing, and SBCs.
• Analyze and optimize voice quality metrics for superior customer experience.
• Design and support enterprise connectivity solutions including VPNs and private connectivity.
• Partner with enterprise customers during onboarding and troubleshooting.
• Conduct network readiness assessments and architecture reviews.
• Design and operate highly available network architectures across AWS and Azure.
• Support global infrastructure, capacity planning, and scalability initiatives.
• Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery networking strategies.
• Participate in incident response and operational improvement initiatives.
• Automate provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Develop reusable automation and integrate network operations into CI/CD workflows.
