(Senior) Cloud Engineer (w/m/d)

Job summary

Sogeti, part of the Capgemini Group, is seeking a (Senior) Cloud Engineer to develop scalable cloud platforms and automate infrastructure and deployments. The role involves optimizing cloud environments with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and standardization, utilizing technologies like Kubernetes, GitOps, and AI-powered automation. The ideal candidate will have cloud expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP, experience with Infrastructure as Code, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Cloud expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP, including Kubernetes, container platforms, and scalable landing zones.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of Observability, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or cloud-native monitoring solutions, and AIOps.
• Experience with modern cloud and platform technologies, and ideally initial exposure to AI-powered tools.
• Relevant cloud certifications are desirable.
• An IT degree or comparable qualification is desirable.
• Strategic thinking, solution-oriented action, and taking responsibility.
• Clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Open to technology, quick learner, and practical application of new trends in Cloud, AI, and Automation.
• Team spirit and comfortable in agile project environments.
• Willingness to travel for project-related assignments in Germany.
• Very good German language skills (at least C1).
• Conversational English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable cloud platforms and landing zones.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Establish reusable platform services and self-service approaches to reduce manual effort.
• Utilize Kubernetes, GitOps, and AI-powered automation, and further develop automation practices to accelerate operational processes.
• Optimize cloud environments with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and standardization.
