Job summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will ensure the smooth operation of scalable customer systems. You will be part of a 9-member team of Cloud and Infrastructure experts, working agilely to provide the best possible operation for customers. Responsibilities include setting up and operating Kubernetes clusters, optimizing cloud infrastructures, conducting Cloud-Infrastructure-Audits, and performing Cloud-Migrations. The role emphasizes automation of infrastructure using a modern technology stack and leading hyperscalers.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed vocational training or degree in IT, or comparable qualification
• Ability to analyze Linux systems and identify action plans
• Profound experience with one or more leading hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with common Configuration-Management-Tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Proficiency in administration and optimization of relational databases (MySQL, DB2, Oracle)
• Profound knowledge in at least one scripting language
• Profound knowledge in network administration

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Kubernetes clusters from initial configuration to continuous optimization
• Responsible for setup, operation, process monitoring, and SLA compliance in collaboration with customers and software development teams
• Optimize cloud infrastructures based on leading hyperscalers for performance, availability, and security
• Conduct Cloud-Infrastructure-Audits with customers and develop action plans
• Perform Cloud-Migrations for customers
• Implement comprehensive real-time monitoring and automation of system landscapes with state-of-the-art technologies
• Apply leading technology stack (Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, trivy, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Varnish, Redis, TFSEC) for customers
