Senior Cloud Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer role involves designing and building infrastructure, tools, and services for an Adaptive Planning Cloud platform. Key responsibilities include supporting cloud infrastructure with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, as well as participating in automation and monitoring efforts. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and experience with large distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years DevOps, Systems/Infrastructure, or related Operations and SRE experience
• 3+ years experience with AWS Infrastructure services
• 3+ years experience with programming languages like Go, Python, Bash
• Experience with configuration management scripts and deployment tools like Jenkins, Puppet, Chef
• 3+ years experience in cloud databases like AWS Oracle/PostgreSQL RDS or GCP Cloud SQL
• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Kubernetes and containerization (Docker)
• Experience with source control management such as Git, GitHub

Responsibilities

• Support Adaptive Planning Cloud infrastructure
• Participate in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, and Golang
• Build and respond to production monitors: triage, fix, and resolution
• Support deployment of cloud solution software during and off regular office hours
• Participate in on-call monitoring response
