Job summary

This senior technical contributor designs, operates, secures, and optimizes Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure supporting business applications. The role covers Azure platform and cost management, Windows Server and identity services, virtualization modernization, Rubrik backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, security controls, and project delivery, using technologies including AKS, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Nutanix, and Log Analytics.

• 10+ years of progressive infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering or administration experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD and hybrid identity.
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions, ideally Rubrik.
• Experience with VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, Azure virtualization, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar observability platforms.
• Working knowledge of DNS, networking, firewalls, load balancing, certificates, storage, and authentication.
• Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.
• Experience with ITSM practices and platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Preferred experience with AKS, Azure Container Registry, infrastructure as code, PowerShell automation, FinOps, Linux administration, audit controls, or GitHub-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking, compute, storage, identity integration, and monitoring.
• Review Azure consumption, forecasts, budgets, and resource utilization; identify and address cost optimization opportunities.
• Engineer and support Windows Server, hybrid identity, Active Directory, DNS, certificates, and related infrastructure services.
• Modernize legacy on-premises infrastructure and support virtualization platforms and migration strategies.
• Administer backup and recovery platforms, monitor backup health, and support data restoration.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning, testing, documentation, and remediation.
• Implement monitoring and investigate service degradation, performance issues, and infrastructure incidents.
• Partner with Information Security to maintain secure configurations, remediate vulnerabilities, and support audits.
• Develop infrastructure requirements, estimates, designs, and implementation plans for business and technology projects.
