Job summary

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is tasked with designing, scaling, and securing AWS environments, emphasizing networking and storage for global data ingestion and customer delivery. Responsibilities include building VPCs, managing S3 storage solutions, and implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform, while collaborating with machine learning and data teams to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering
• Deep AWS networking expertise
• Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale storage on AWS
• Strong infrastructure-as-code practice (Terraform preferred)
• Solid IAM and security fundamentals
• Proficiency in at least one language for automation and tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core parts of AWS environment (networking, storage, and IAM)
• Build and maintain network: VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS, and load balancing
• Implement and tune storage layer for petabyte-scale video and sensor data on S3
• Improve speed and predictability of data transfer
• Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) through CI/CD
• Contribute to reliability through monitoring, alerting, on-call, incident response, and postmortems
• Find and deliver cost savings in storage and data transfer
