Job summary

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on creating scalable solutions for high-traffic environments, addressing challenges such as performance, optimization, and automation. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing availability and scalability plans, automating infrastructure deployment, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools. The position requires expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, along with a strong background in Linux and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux experience with scripting, networks, storage, and release
• 3+ years building and maintaining continuous integration environments with AWS
• 3+ years working with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and immutability principles with Terraform
• Experience with high traffic, distributed systems architectures and related tools
• Experience designing and managing AWS Landing Zone architectures
• Experience in any scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools in production workflows
• Ability to adapt to multiple stakeholders and demonstrate cross-team cooperation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for services environments
• Continually re-evaluate existing stack and infrastructure for optimal performance, availability, and security
• Develop security capabilities and promote security best practices across the company
• Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration, lead CI/CD pipeline creation, and develop best practices
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate infrastructure development and automate engineering tasks
• Design, deploy, and scale autonomous agents for infrastructure operations and incident response
• Perform development, automation, and deployment tasks independently
• Provide cloud technology leadership and guidance to team members
• Control costs and propose new solutions in coordination with development teams
