Job summary
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring clients' systems are up-to-date through regular updates and patching. This role involves troubleshooting service requests, provisioning new environments, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance support processes.
Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years of Cloud Support and/or Cloud operations experience
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to expert-level experience in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Tomcat, Cassandra, Kafka
- Basic RDBMS troubleshooting skills (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Scripting language proficiency
- ITIL process understanding
- Ability to work in a self-managed team environment
Responsibilities
- Handle Service Requests, Changes, and releases within agreed SLA
- Provision new environments and update infrastructure components
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve upgrade/provisioning issues
- Adopt pre-release products with engineering teams
- Automate and enhance current processes
- Provide feedback on bugs and customer experience
- Streamline support processes
