Job summary
A Senior Cloud Platform Engineer designs, builds, and operates AWS infrastructure that enables AI engineers and data scientists to deploy production generative, agentic, and conversational AI workloads reliably and securely. The role develops reusable infrastructure with AWS CDK in TypeScript or Python, operates containerized services on Amazon ECS and AgentCore, and builds CI/CD, AI gateway, observability, governance, and cost-management capabilities for a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications
- At least four years of hands-on platform engineering, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps experience focused on infrastructure code.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production AWS infrastructure.
- Experience with infrastructure as code; AWS CDK in Python or TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with Docker and Amazon ECS, including deployment, autoscaling, networking, security, and troubleshooting.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD or GitOps pipelines for production cloud workloads.
- Experience with on-call rotations, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong Python or TypeScript software engineering skills.
- Experience partnering with software, data, or ML/AI teams to move workloads into production.
- Strong AWS service experience, including Bedrock, ECS, IAM, VPC, load balancing, S3, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable AWS platforms for production ML and generative AI workloads.
- Create reusable infrastructure, tooling, and deployment patterns for AI engineers and data scientists.
- Develop and maintain AWS CDK infrastructure and reusable constructs in TypeScript or Python.
- Operate containerized workloads using Amazon ECS and AgentCore.
- Build CI/CD and GitOps workflows for safe, repeatable deployments.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, service-level objectives, runbooks, and production-readiness standards.
- Build and operate a centralized gateway for routing requests across model providers.
- Implement platform security, auditability, and governance controls for regulated AI workloads.
- Improve workload reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
