Job summary
A senior platform engineer embedded in a client team, responsible for the reliability, scalability, and evolution of AWS infrastructure. The role combines hands-on platform design and engineering with team leadership, incident management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery planning, including federated identity, regulated-environment controls, and familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.

Qualifications
- Strong hands-on AWS cloud engineering and platform design experience
- Ability to work independently in an unfamiliar technical estate and make sound judgments
- Experience with federated identity and complex integrations
- Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore
- Experience in regulated environments, including risk, assurance, and design controls
- Experience owning incident management, on-call frameworks, and post-incident reviews
- Experience leading a platform or infrastructure engineering team
- Ability to manage competing demands and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable AWS platform capabilities, including federated identity
- Assess the current platform and prioritise work through year-end
- Translate requirements into implementable, auditable work with solution architects and technical business analysts
- Establish a foundation for wider platform use in 2027
- Own incident management, on-call frameworks, and post-incident review processes
- Lead and support a platform or infrastructure engineering team, including mentoring and day-to-day management
- Engage technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complexity into clear priorities
